By virtue of this petition, the petitioner is praying for the following reliefs :-

10.2 That the Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the concern respondent authorities may be re-appointment to the petitioner for the post of Statistics Inspector/Supervisor in the office of

District Program and Statistic Officer, Jangir-Champa or any appropriate post which available. 10.3 Any other relief, which may be deemed fit by this Hon’ble Court just and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case may also be provided in favour of the petitioner.

From perusal of the documents annexed with the petition, it appears that the petitioner was working as contractual employee and, as per the order dated 14.02.2013 (Annexure P-1), she along with others were granted contractual appointment under 13^th Finance Commission on the post of Statistics Investigator till 31^st March, 2013 and subsequently, the services of the petitioner was extended from time to time as evidenced by virtue of the order dated 24.04.2015 (Annexure P-2). It appears further that since the said 13^th Finance Commission has come to an end and due to insufficient budget under the said commission, the concerned respondent authorities were, thus, unable to continue the contractual services of the petitioner and others and, therefore, considering the said situation, vide order dated 30.01.2016 (Annexure R-2), the concerned respondent department has issued a direction to discontinue the services of all the contractual employees with effect from February, 2016 and in view of the said direction, the respondent No.4-District Programme and Statistics Officer, JanjgirChampa has issued a letter dated 01.02.2016 (Annexure P-3) to the petitioner, intimating her to complete all the pending work and submit the relevant record in the office, so that, she may be relieved from the said post/services.

It is to be seen further that as per Condition No.4 of the Contractual Appointment Order dated 14.02.2013 (Annexure P-1), the petitioner has been given prior intimation with regard to her discontinuation from the said services and only thereafter, vide order dated 29.02.2016 passed by the respondent No.4-

District Programme and Statistics Officer, Janjgir-Champa, services of the petitioner has been discontinued and accordingly, the petitioner has been relieved from the said post. It is to be seen further that since the aforesaid contractual appointment of the petitioner was made purely on temporary basis and, after the discontinuation of her services from the said contractual post as such, the petitioner cannot assert for the same as a matter of right.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, I am not inclined to entertain this petition. The petition being devoid of merit is, accordingly, dismissed.
