Learned counsel for respondent No.2 would submit respondent No.2 has already complied with the order dated 27.11.2018 passed by this High Court in WPC No.3199/2018, on his part and forwarded fresh calculation to the competent authority i.e. N.H.A.I.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the aforesaid order dated 27.11.2018 is based upon the order dated 18.7.2018 passed in WPC No.1961/2018 by the Division Bench of this Court, whereby, it has been observed that the multiplier adopted by the State ought to be in parity with the multiplier being adopted by the Central Government. The said verdict has been challenged by the State as well Union of India before the Hon’ble Supreme Court. He would submit that the Hon’ble Supreme Court has passed the order dated 22.4.2022, whereby the order dated 18.7.2018 passed in WPC No.1961/2018 has been set-aside and the matter has been remanded back to decide the writ petition afresh on its own merits in accordance with law.

Having considered the submissions of learned counsel for the parties, this Court is of the considered view that nothing survives for adjudication in the contempt petition.

In view of the above, the contempt petition is disposed of.
