Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that husband of petitioner was appointed by respondents on the post of Artisan Trainee (Fitter) vide appointment order (Annexure P1) dated 27.10.2007. After completion of period of training he was regularized on 28.11.2008 vide order Annexure P4. He died in harness on 21.04.2022 due to Covid Pandemic. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that on 13.09.2022, petitioner submitted representation before respondent authorities for grant of compassionate appointment, which is pending consideration. Grievance of petitioner would be redressed at this stage if a direction is issued to respondent-1 to consider and decide representation/application at the earliest.

Learned counsel for the respondents would submit that if application is not yet considered and decided till date, it will be considered in accordance with law.

Considering submission made by learned counsel for the petitioner that husband of petitioner was under employment of respondents which is reflected in Annexure P8, Salary slip, he died on 21.04.2021, representation/application submitted by petitioner is pending consideration before respondent-1, I find it

appropriate to dispose of writ petition at this stage directing respondent-1 to consider and decide representation submitted by petitioner expeditiously, in accordance with law with an outer limit of six months from the date of receipt of copy of order passed by this Court.

Accordingly, writ petition stands disposed of.
