Rs.3,39,570, but, a gross error has been committed by the Commissioner by not awarding any interest on the amount of said compensation. Referring to AIR 2012 SC 3144 (Oriental Insurance Co. Ltd. v. Siby George) , it is argued that the Appellants/claimants are entitled to get interest on the awarded amount from the date of accident, i.e., 22.6.2009.
