In a batch of eight contempt applications (CPAN 186, 187, 195, 202, 205, 212, 251 and 347 of 2025) arising out of writ petitions against the Chairperson, District Primary School Council, Malda and the Commissioner of School Education, learned counsel for the DPSC and the State submitted that all 312 writ petitioners had been issued letters of appointment and that the majority had joined. The Court directed that petitioners yet to receive their letters may contact the Office of the DPSC, and that mistakes in spelling of names, address and other particulars may be rectified by the DPSC upon due verification of documents. Holding that nothing further remained to be adjudicated, Rajasekhar Mantha, J. disposed of the contempt applications, dispensed with the personal presence of the Commissioner of School Education and the Chairman, DPSC, Malda, discharged Rule, if any, and made no order as to costs, directing all parties to act on a server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of the Court.
