Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that nothing remains in the writ petition since the respondent has de-freezed the petitioner’s debit account with the respondent Bank yesterday i.e. 1st February, 2024.
Counsel accordingly seeks compensation for the inconvenience caused to the petitioner in not being able to operate the debit account for five days.
Considering the letter produced on behalf of the respondent from the office of the Director General of Police, State Cybercrime Cell, Gujarat dated 1st February, 2024 pursuant to which the petitioner’s account was freezed, this Court is not inclined to direct for compensation as prayed for.
WPA/98/2024 is disposed of on the above terms.
