The instant writ petition was filed in the year 2014 mainly for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to return the penalty imposed upon the petitioner with interest and other consequential relives. The petitioner lastly tooks step on 9th September, 2014. Thereafter, they never took any step for hearing of the matter. Considering the fact that the instant writ petition is pending for more than 8 years and the petitioner is not represented by their learned Advocate, he is not interested to proceed with the instant writ petition. Accordingly, the instant writ petition is dismissed for default.
