Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioner no.1 had set up traffic police stands at Krishnanagar, Nadia, free of cost in lieu of right to advertise on such stands. It is submitted that the arrangement was renewed from time to time and more than 10 years have elapsed since the setting up of the original traffic booths. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the respondents have been silent on the question of extension of the arrangement between the parties. It is therefore, submitted that either the respondents extend the arrangement or allow the petitioners to take back the traffic police stands.

Learned counsel appearing for the State submits that the respondents having earned substantial revenue much more than the value of the traffic booths cannot be permitted to take back the said booths. In fact, it is submitted by the respondents that on the fair reading of arrangement and contract between the petitioners and the State, the booths have since become the property of the Nadia Police.

However, the petitioner no.1 appears to have made a representation on 3^rd March, 2021 to the Superintendent of Police, Nadia which has not been considered till date. Without

prejudice to the rights and contentions of the parties, the Superintendent of Police, Nadia shall consider the representation of the petitioner no.1 dated 3^rd March, 2021 within a period of six months from the date of communication of a copy of this order. A reasoned order may be passed and communicated to the petitioner no.1 within ten days thereafter.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
