The learned Government Pleader for the respondents/ State placed on record a copy of order dated 27/02/2026, passed by the Hon’ble Apex Court in Diary No.70804/2025, (Deputy Director of Education, Nagpur & Ors. vs. Sneha Vithhalrao Thakre & Ors.) along with Diary Nos. 70808/2025 and 70806/2025 , wherein the respondent herein challenging the ad interim relief granted in favour of the petitioners.

It appears that the Hon’ble Apex Court on the ground that the ad interim relief granted is in the nature of final relief, set aside the ad interim relief and directed this Court to decide the Writ Petition No.5647/2025 along with all the other similarly placed writ petitions, which are stated to be 86 in number, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order. However, it appears that though notices were issued in all the matters in the Month of September-2025 and October-2025, no reply is filed nor there is any application for modification of the ad interim relief or any compliance of the ad interim order in most of the matters. The matter was time and again adjourned for filing reply. It appears that statement is made before the Hon’ble Apex Court that pleadings are complete. Even in Writ Petition No.5647/2025, the interim order was under

challenge, in that petition also pleadings were not complete on the date of passing of order by the Hon’ble Apex Court. However, today, the State and Zilla Parishad submit that they will file their replies in all the matters by 16^th March, 2026 with advance copy to the petitioners, so that the matters can be disposed of as per directions of the Hon’ble Apex Court.

As such, all the Contempt Petitions stand closed in view of the order passed by the Hon’ble Apex Court.
