Bombay High Court (Civil Appellate Jurisdiction), Coram Ravindra V. Ghuge & Abhay J. Mantri, JJ., 9 March 2026 — Writ Petition Nos.13051 and 14520 of 2025 (Trupti Subhash Shinde & Anr.; Ashok Shripati Deokar & Anr. v. Sinhagad Technical Education Society & Ors.). In a compliance hearing held in deference to the Court's order dated 4th February, 2026, the Court noted deficits of about Rs.50,000/- (Ashok Shripati Deokar) and about Rs.4.5 lakhs (Mangalgouri Rajeshwar Deshmukh) said to arise in relation to an order of the Grievance Committee. With the Management stating that calculation is purely a matter of record and that it would place all documents before the concerned Authority, the Court permitted the two aggrieved Petitioners to approach the Joint Director, Technical Education, Pune, directed that Authority to consider the record of both parties, conclude whether there is any deficit payment, and complete the exercise within 60 days.

The learned Advocate for the Petitioners submits that in

the case of one Petitioner, namely Ashok Shripati Deokar, there is a deficit of an amount of about Rs.50,000/-. With reference to another Petitioner, namely Mangalgouri Rajeshwar Deshmukh, the deficit is of about Rs.4.5 lakhs. He, therefore, submits that these two aggrieved Petitioners be permitted to approach the Joint Director, Technical Education, Pune, as per earlier orders passed by this Court, for simply calculating the amounts payable and for verifying whether there is any shortfall. Needless to state, this is in relation to the order passed by the Grievance Committee.

The learned Advocate for the Management submits that making such a calculation is purely a matter of record and that the Institution would place all the documents before the concerned Authority, notwithstanding the fact that the Management firmly believes that all the payments have been made.

In view of the above, the Petitioners are permitted to approach the Joint Director, Technical Education, Pune, in view of the above statements. We would expect the said Authority to
