After service of notice, the Victim is present before the

Court along with her mother. The Victim makes a statement that she does not wish to be represented by any lawyer. She however, records a statement that she does not have any objection for grant of bail to the Applicant. No objection given in writing is taken on record and marked ‘X’ for Identification.

Learned APP however, submits that on the basis of ‘No Objection’ recorded by the Victim, bail cannot be granted to the Applicant. She seeks hearing.

After hearing learned counsel appearing for both sides, when this Court showed its disinclination to grant any relief to the Applicant, at this stage, learned counsel for the Applicant seeks direction to the Trial Court for expeditious disposal of the trial.

Learned APP, on instructions, makes a statement that in view of the fact that 15 witnesses are to be examined by the prosecution, the trial would get over within a period of one year.

In view of the above statement made by the learned counsel for the Applicant, and considering the number of witnesses to be examined, learned Trial Court is requested to expedite the trial and to conclude the same, in any case, within a period of a year from today.
