This is an Application under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (hereinafter referred to as ‘Cr.PC) to quash FIR / Crime No.0736/2024, registered with Gangakhed Police Station, District Parbhani for the offence punishable under Sections 498-A, 323, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860

(hereinafter referred to as ‘IPC’).

Heard the learned Advocate for the Applicants, learned APP for Respondent No.1 – State and the learned Advocate for Respondent No.2 – Informant. With their assistance, perused the papers on record.

By order dated 17.12.2024, the Application is disposed of as withdrawn as against Applicant No.1 - Umakant S/o Uttamrao Mulgir and Applicant No.2 - Nandabai @ Mahanandabai W/o. Umakantrao Mulgir, who are the father-in-law and mother-in-law, respectively of the Informant.

The Informant and the husband entered into the compromise and the decree of divorce is passed in Marriage Petition No.115/2025 dated 01.11.2025 before the Court of Civil Judge, Senior Division, Gangakhed. The papers further shows and on which there is no dispute that, this Court in Criminal Application No.4847/2025 by order dated 07.01.2026, quashed this very same FIR / Crime as against the husband, father-in-law and the motherin-law with consent of both sides. Applicant Nos.3, 4 and 5 are the brother-in-laws and the wife of the brother-in-law (Sushil). The learned Advocate for the Informant submits that, in view of the above undisputed aspect, the Application be allowed.

Since the parties have reached an amicable settlement and the FIR / Crime has been quashed by this Court as against the husband, father-in-law and mother-in-law, this Application is allowed in terms of Prayer Clause – ‘ C ’ as against Applicant No.3 -
