Jamadar, J. - Abhijit Ramesh Padmawar made a limited prayer for a direction to respondent no. 3, District Collector, Pune, to decide his application (Exhibit-A) for transfer of FL-II and CLFLTOD-3 licences originally granted to his late father Ramesh Bapurao Padmawar, who died on 2nd January 2025. By an earlier judgment and order dated 25th March 2025 in Writ Petition No. 1812 of 2025, this Court had allowed the petition of the petitioner and his late father in terms of prayer clause (a) and restored the District Collector's order of 5th April 2022, whereby the transfer had been cancelled and the FL-II licence stood restored in favour of the late father. 1812 of 2025, whereby this Court had allowed the said petition preferred by the Petitioner and his late father in terms of prayer clause (a), and restored the order passed by the District Collector, Pune dated 5^th April 2022, cancelling the transfer of the licences and restoring FL-II licence in favour of the late father of the petitioner.

Mr. Desai submits that the prayer for transfer of licence in the capacity of the legal heir of the original licensee is essentially consequential to the order passed by this Court as the late father of the petitioner passed away on 2^nd January 2025.

In view of the restoration of the licence in the name of the late father of the petitioner pursuant to the order passed by this Court on 25^th March 2025 in Writ Petition No. 1812 of 2025, respondent no. 3 is required to pass an appropriate order in accordance with Rules.

In view of the above, the petition stands disposed with a direction to the respondent no. 3 to hear and decide the application for transfer of the licence (Exhibit-A) in accordance with law and rules as expeditiously as possible and, preferably, within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.
