Iswalkar, 1st Assistant to the Official Assignee, High Court, Bombay, for the private examination of the insolvent Ravindra Singh under Insolvency Petition No. 7 of 2024 (act of insolvency 28-12-2023; petition 29-02-2024; adjudication 18-02-2025). Examined on solemn affirmation, the insolvent gave his full name as Ravindra Kumar Dayashankar Singh (aged 55; DOB 20-12-1968; born at Mumbai); resides at Room No. 3, D. S. Singh Chawl, Durga Nagar, JVLR, Jogeshwari (E), Mumbai-400 060, a Pagadi-system room standing jointly in his name and that of his brother Devendra Kumar Singh; married to Smt. Neeta Ravindra Singh; native place Noida; educated upto B.Com (Maharashtra College); works as an electrician doing petty job work, with no business or service, no income-tax returns, no LIC or mediclaim policy, no driving licence, credit card or passport; has a bank account with Shamrao Vitthal Co-operative Bank, Andheri (E); stated this is his first insolvency and that he was not aware he had been adjudged insolvent. He admitted knowing Mr. Shreepal K. Shah, whose shop at Lohar Chawl he had visited on the directions of the person who gave him job work, but said he was not aware of the petitioning creditor's claim, which he called false and baseless. Mr. Tejas Kirit Shah, brother of the petitioning creditor, was present; the insolvent's advocate was absent. The statement was furnished to the insolvent for signature, but he deferred signing until the next date in his advocate's presence. Requisitions were issued (lodging of maintenance receipt/agreement, original PAN card, bank passbook/statement/chequebook; Registry letters to the Owner and the Passport Authority) and the meeting was adjourned to 16-10-2025 at 11.30 p.m.
