Petition No.383 of 2023 states that although investigation was transferred from Wadala Truck Terminal Police Station to Economic Offences Wing (General Cheating), Mumbai, (‘EOW’) vide order dated 14th March 2024, no steps have been taken by the EOW to arrest the absconding accused – Sandeep Kandalkar. He further states that infact Sandeep Kandalkar was granted default bail as police of Wadala Truck Terminal Police Station failed to file charge-sheet within the statutory period.
