was quarreling with her maternal grandfather on account of money.
PW- 4 was doing stitching work in her room. At that time, the accused
went out of the house and at about 12 noon, he came back. The
accused inquired with her about the sickle. She told him that she was
not aware as to where it was kept. Thereafter, PW- 4 saw the accused
taking iron toppling from the storeroom adjacent to their room. She
further mentions that, the accused was in a habit of taking iron
implements from the storeroom and selling those for satisfying his
habit of consuming liquor. Therefore, when the accused took the iron
toppling, she inquired as to where he was taking it. He did not reply
and proceeded towards his room. PW- 4, thereafter heard the shouts
from the room of the accused, pursuant to which, she ran towards the
room and saw the accused was giving blows of iron toppling on
Sarika’s head, who was sitting on the sofa; she screamed, but accused
continued to give the blows. Thereafter, she came out running and
called the neighbours. When she summoned the neighbours, she saw
