The petitioner is mother of detenu - Arvind Nagnath Sable. Arvind Nagnath Sabale, the son of the petitioner is in Kolhapur Central Prison, Kalamba, Kolhapur. The only prayer in this petition is that the jail authorities be directed to ensure that Arvind Sabale is able to file his nomination form

for contesting election of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. It is stated that in 2012 also, he had contested the elections.

It is stated that the last date for filing the nomination

form is 3.2.2017. It is further stated that for the purpose of filing the nomination form, Arvind Sable would have to visit

the concerned ward i.e Ward No. 19A where he intends to file the nomination form or at the most the headquarters of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation.

As the last date for filing the nomination form is

tomorrow, the jail authorities to ensure that the prisoner - Arvind Sabale be sent under escort to either Ward No. 19A of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation or if necessary to the headquarters of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation tomorrow. The Superintendent of Police, Kolhapur to provide adequate escort to take the prisoner from Kolhapur Central

Prison to Pimpari-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation and to bring him back to the prison on the same day.

The escorting party shall leave with the prisoner tomorrow i.e on 3.2.2017 by 9.30 a.m. from Kolhapur Central Prison and bring the prisoner back to Kolhapur Central Prison on the same day.

The cost of the escort to be borne by the petitioner and

to be deposited prior to the prisoner being taken from jail.

Rule is made absolute in the above terms.
