match stick, while Sultan Chandubhai - (accused no. 3) had taken out kerosene from a drum in the house and spread the same over the house and was about to ignite fire by match stick. Then the informant had supplicatingly requested not to put her house on fire. The accused persons had poured kerosene on another roof of house and had put the same on fire. The mob of persons had pelted stones on the taperecorder and utensils in the house and had damaged the same. It was an enraged mob, for, a day before, a muslim boy had been murdered supposedly by a few persons from Kahar community to which the informant belongs. Thereafter, the mob had moved on to the house of Chandabai Vitore, Janabai Limbhore and Goraksh Vitore and had put their houses on fire. informant suffered damages approximately to the tune of Rs.15,000/-. The informant had, therefore, lodged report with police station on 12-07-2006 at about 11.10 a.m. pursuant to which crime was registered against accused persons in police station, Shevgaon bearing No. 115 of 2006 for offences punishable under sections 143, 147, 436, 435, 452, 427 read with section 149 of Indian Penal Code and section 37(3)/135 of the Bombay Police Act.
