2 The Petitioner is praying for issuance of directions to the

Respondents to award all the benefits available to the Freedom Fighters under the scheme formulated by the State Government. The Petitioner also prays for quashment of the proceedings rendered by the

State Government on 15^th November, 2006 rejecting the claim of the Petitioner for grant of Freedom Fighter's pension. It is claimed that the husband of the Petitioner has participated in the 'Quit India Movement'

during the period 1940 to 1943 and has suffered imprisonment. He

was lodged in Gulbarga Jail and a certificate in that regard has been issued in his favour by the Superintendent of Police (Imprisonment),

Gulbarga. The Petitioner relied upon the original Jail Certificate alognwith the covering letter issued by the Superintendent on 28^th April, 2006 for supporting her claim. On inquiry, it has been disclosed that the Imprisonment Certificate dated 29^th March, 2005 and the verification report dated 28^th April, 2006 produced by the Petitioner are bogus and false. It has been disclosed that those letters were not issued by the concerned Office. The decision denying claim for award of Freedom Fighter's pension was already intimated to the husband of the Petitioner on 16^th August, 2005. The reasons for denial of claim of husband of Petitioner are stated on oath in affidavit in reply by the Deputy Secretary, General Administration Department, Freedom Fighter Cell, Mantralaya.

3 In view of above, the claim raised by the Petitioner for grant of

Freedom Fighter's pension, does not deserve consideration. The

petition is devoid of substance and the same stands rejected.
