1 It is not disputed that the award in respect of acquisition of the property has been declared on 31.03.1981.

2 The petitioners make a grievance that they have not received compensation in respect of acquired land and as such, according to them, proceedings of acquisition shall stand lapsed.

3 An affidavit-in-reply has been presented on behalf of Respondent No.2 wherein it has been stated that the amount of compensation was offered to the petitioners and petitioners are also in receipt of the notice under Section 12(2) of the Land Acquisition Act, however, they have not withdrawn amount of compensation from the office of Land Acquisition Officer.

petitioners to quash and set aside award, does not deserve consideration. However, it would be appropriate to issue directions to the Respondents to disburse amount of compensation, which, admittedly, has not been received by petitioners in pursuance to the award declared by the Collector on 31.03.1981.

5 Learned A.G.P. appearing for Respondents, on instructions, informs that the amount of compensation, determined by the Land Acquisition Officer, would be disbursed to the petitioners within a period of three months from today.

6 In view of the statement, on instructions, made by learned A.G.P. on behalf of Respondents, nothing survives for consideration in the petition. Respondents shall disburse amount of compensation, as assured, within time stipulated above.

7 Writ Petition stands disposed of.
