The petitioner is praying for issuance of direction to the respondents to decide proposal for grant of freedom fighters pension. The petitioner is alleging that inspite of presentation of the proposal, there is delay on the part of respondent in taking decision in the matter.

2] In an application tendered to the authority, petitioner has recorded his date of birth as 1/1/1938. If this date is

considered to be correct, during the freedom movement for liberation of Hyderabad State, the petitioner must be between 7 to 9 years of age. The story put up by the petitioner in respect of his participation in the freedom movement is highly suspicious. The claim of the petitioner for grant of freedom fighters pension has already been rejected by order dated 30/7/2009 and the fact of rejection of his claim has been suppressed. The petitioner who is an advocate has even signed the copy of the order as a token of receipt of the same. The proposal tendered by petitioner for grant of freedom fighters pension has been rejected by the State Government on the ground that date of birth of petitioner as appearing from documents submitted by him is 9/4/1943 and at the time of continuance of Hyderabad liberation movement, age of the petitioner might not be more than 4 years. Even if the contention raised by the petitioner in respect of his age is taken to be true, the situation may not be different. Writ Petition is devoid of any substance and stands rejected.
