. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks a very limited relief of issuing a direction to the Caste Scrutiny Committee to decide the pending caste claim of the petitioner. He states that even as of today, the caste claim is not decided. The learned AGP representing the first to fourth respondents has no instructions on this aspect. Hence, we dispose of the Petition by passing the following order:-

(i) We direct the petitioner to appear before the Divisional

Caste Scrutiny Committee No.1, Mumbai Division,

Mumbai on 14^th July, 2014 at 11.00 am. The petitioner shall produce an authenticated copy of this order on that date before the Committee;

¶24

(ii) If the Committee has already adjudicated upon the caste claim of the petitioner, a copy of the order passed by the Committee shall be made available to the petitioner on the date fixed for appearance;

¶25

(iii) If the Committee has not adjudicated upon the caste claim of the petitioner, adjudication shall be completed as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of three months from 14^th July, 2014;

(iv) All contentions on merits are kept open;

¶27

(v) The Petition is disposed of on above terms;

(vi) Parties to act upon an authenticated copy of this order.
