1We have perused the affidavit of Shri
Chandrashekhar Gulabrao Patil, the Assistant
Professor of Statistics and Demography, Government
Medical College, Miraj, District Sangli.

2The learned counsel for the petitioner is
justified in his criticism that though a statement
was made before this Court on 30th April 2008 that a
report on the Departmental Enquiry will be submitted
within six months, in fact, the said report was
submitted in the year 2011.

3However, we find that on the basis of the
Enquiry Report, the State Government has taken the
disciplinary action and Dr.Nagesh Naik has been
removed from the employment.

4As Shri Chandrashekhar G. Patil has tendered
unconditional apology to the Court, considering the
action taken by the State Government, the apology
tendered deserves to be accepted. Accordingly, we
accept the apology. Contempt Notice is accordingly
discharged. Contempt petition is disposed of.
