By this petition, the petitioner seeks extension of parole for a period of thirty days with effect from 8/2/2013.
The petitioner, who is undergoing sentence of imprisonment for ten years for the offences punishable under Sections 21 and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act,

was granted parole to attend marriage of his son. On 31/1/2013, the petitioner sought extension of parole for a period of 30 days.
The grievance of the petitioner is that till date, he has not been informed about the order passed by the competent Authority either rejecting or allowing the application for extension of period of parole. Smt. Joshi, learned Additional Public Prosecution for respondents, has placed on record a copy of the order dated 6/2/2013 passed by the Competent Authority refusing to extend the period of parole of the petitioner. The same is taken on record.
In view of the said order dated 6/2/2013, nothing survives in the petition. Accordingly, the petition stands disposed of. The petitioner shall surrender forthwith to the Jail.
The petitioner, who is present in the Court and identified by Adv. Samundre, undertakes that he will surrender to the Jail tomorrow. His undertaking is accepted.
