subject plot which was shown by the respondent No.6 for the purpose of commissioning of the petrol pump. The counsel submits that different committees are formed for evaluating merits of the candidates and after considering the entire evaluation the Interview Committee allots marks accordingly. The learned counsel further submitted that grant of No Objection Certificate in respect of explosives under the Explosives Act, 1884 is not the concern of the respondent-Corporation. The Explosives authorities working under the particular rules, grant No Objection Certificate for the purpose of commissioning petrol pump. In case the Corporation, in spite of grant of Letter of Intent, finds that establishment of petrol pump would be within the prohibited distance from the factory manufacturing explosives substance or would be hazardous to the people at large then the Corporation is entitled to cancel the Letter of Intent granted in favour of a candidate. The learned counsel, therefore, submits that after considering the merits of the candidates the respondent-Corporation had taken appropriate decision.
