By this petition, the petitioners challenge the election of the respondent no.9 to the Panchayat Samiti, Akola on the ground that the respondent no.9 did not belong to Mahadeo Koli Scheduled Tribe and has fraudulently obtained the caste validity certificate.
On hearing the learned counsel for the petitioners and on perusal of the averments in the writ petition, it appears that the petitioners have no locus standi to file the instant petition. The petitioners are neither the voters to the Panchayat Samiti elections nor had contested the same.
Hence, the writ petition is dismissed with no order as to costs.
