Vs. State of U.P.[ (2008) 2 SCC 409], the Apex Court held that the High Court should discourage the practice of filing writ petitions or petitions under section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 simply because a person has a grievance that his First Information has not not been registered by the Police. Statutory remedy is available under the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 to such aggrieved person. Only on this ground, we are not entertaining this petition and the same is disposed of by keeping the remedy open.
