This is an application for bail by a
20-year old applicant/appellant who has been
convicted and sentenced to imprisonment for
seven years for the offence punishable under
Section 376 of the IPC for having raped a 15-17
years old victim over a period from December,
2009 to May, 2010. The applicant was allegedly
visiting the victim almost every night during
this period taking advantage of the absence of
her parents. Considering the nature of the
allegations made, the sentence imposed, the age
of the applicant, the near impossibility of

and also the fact that the applicant was on
bail throughout the trial, the applicant be
released on bail on his furnishing fresh bonds
