By this application, the applicant seeks
suspension of the substantive sentence of
imprisonment and his enlargement on bail.
Alternatively, the applicant has prayed that
the appeal be listed for final hearing
expeditiously.

We are not inclined to suspend the
substantive sentence of imprisonment and
release the applicant on bail. However, as far

as alternate relief of grant of early hearing
is concerned, we are inclined to grant the
same, as we are hearing the criminal appeals of
2008.

We accordingly allow the request of the
applicant in respect of alternate relief and
direct that the appeal be listed for final
hearing in the week commencing from 21st August,
2012.
