1]The petitioner makes a grievance against
the order of the Divisional Commissioner, Konkan
Division dissolving the Village Panchayat for the
reason that out of seven panchas six panchas have
resigned. It is obvious that with only one pancha
holding the office the Village Panchayat cannot run
and therefore, it is dissolved. Now, fresh
elections will have to be held for reconstitution of
Village Panchayat. There is no substance to
interfere with the order impugned. Petition is
rejected.
