1]By consent of parties, petition is disposed
off in following terms.

2]It is common ground that the exemption
granted under section 20(1) of the Urban Land
(Ceiling and Regulation) Act 1976 stood withdrawn on
26th March 2007 and as possession of the land which

may have been surplus under the provisions of the
said Act was not taken by 27th November 2007 when

the said Act was repealed in Maharashtra, all
proceedings thereunder have lapsed. The petitioner
shall pay to the State Government within a period of
four weeks from today, an amount of Rs.40,76,100/-
in view of the assurance given by the petitioner.
Petition is disposed off.
