Heard Mr. N.S. Bhat, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. S.J. Jichkar, learned APP for the respondents.
By this petition the petitioner seeks extension of parole by a period of two years. The reply filed on behalf of the respondents discloses that the petitioner was released on parole for a period of 30 days on 14.1.2010 and he was supposed to surrender on 14.2.2010. The petitioner preferred application before Competent Authority for extension of parole leave and same was rejected by order dated 9.6.2010. The reply further discloses that till date the petitioner has not surrendered back to the prison and this application has not been filed from the jail. Since the petitioner

has not surrendered, the question of granting extension does not arise. The petition stands disposed of.
The fees of the learned counsel Mr. N.S. Bhat, who has been appointed to appear on behalf of the petitioner, are quantified at Rs.750/-.
