plastic barrels containing the pesticides. They also destroyed the standing crop in the field and ran away with a cash of Rs.67,500/ which was kept in a safe. There were riots at Miraj and taking advantage of the riots and perhaps non availability of the police force (which must have been deployed for controlling of the riots) the crime was committed. In the FIR, the motor cycle numbers of the two motor cycles used by the miscreants were mentioned. Police carried out the investigation and three persons were arrested. The present applicants are suspects in the said crime. The crime has so far gone unresolved. Learned APP states that custody of the applicants is needed for the purpose of interrogation.
