Learned AGP appearing for the State submits that the
State Government will take action under the relevant clauses against
the persons who have breached the provisions of the Act. We direct the State Government to expedite the hearing of the proceedings initiated, in accordance with law. We also direct Respondent No.2, keeping in mind the principles laid down by the Court in the case of People for Animals & Anr. v. Animal Welfare Board & Ors., in Writ Petition No.1686 of 1995 by its order dated 20th August, 1996, to consider the grievance of the Petitioners within a period of six weeks
from today.
