in regard to the delay caused in processing his application for parole. As per the orders passed by this court, Shri Dhanaji Laxman Kalantre, Astt. Inpsector of Police attached to Pachora Police Station in Jalgaon District and Shri Hari Govind More, Police Inspector, Local Crime Branch, Jalgaon have filed affidavits. It has been pointed out that on 21/2/2009 the petitioner’s brother died and, therefore, he submitted an application on 23/2/2009 for being released on parole. The said application was received on 24/2/2009 by the Senior Inspector of Police, Pachora Police Station with a wireless message and the Pachora Police Station was called upon to undertake verification. On 26/2/2009 Shri Nilkanth Patil, Head Constable submitted his report to the Senior Inspector of Police, Pachora Police Station and confirmed that petitioner’s brother died on 21/2/2009. The said report was forwarded to the Jail Superintendent, Nashik Road Central Prison on 27/2/2009. It is thus clear that there has been no delay caused in subjecting the applicant’s application for verification and the report of verification submitted by the police station at Pachora. In any case the applicant was released on parole for about four weeks and his petition has been dismissed as infructuous and we are satisfied that no further inquiry is required to be caused in this application.
