1. Petitioner wanted to set aside the procedure
adopted by the Chairman of the Standing Committee of
Meera-Bhayandar Municipal Corporation for the retirement of
the members of the Standing Committee to be declared
illegal. The counsel for the respondents submits that
elections have already been held and whatever the method
the petitioner had envisaged in the petition was adopted.
In this view of the matter this petition has become

infructuous, which is accordingly dismissed. If the
petitioner has still grievances, he may take any other
remedy that may be available to him under the law.
