Heard Mr. Joshi in support of this petition and Mr. Rane, Government Pleader, for respondent Nos 1 to 3. The grievance of the petitioner is that her caste claim is not being scrutinised by the committee and in the meanwhile she fears discontinuation of her education. Mr. Rane, Government Pleader states that by 15.3.2007 the petitioner's claim will be positively scrutinised and the petitioner will be informed about the result. In view of this statement petition is not pressed. We however, direct that in the meanwhile petitioner's education is not to be discontinued by respondent No.4. Respondent No. 4 has been served though nobody is present on their behalf. We further add that in the event the decision of the scrutiny
committee is against the petitioner, still education of the petitioner will not be discontinued for a period of six weeks after
the decision is communicated to the petitioner.
Petition stands disposed with the above observations.
