. The prayer of the petitioner for compassionate
appointment has been rejected by Railways which was
challenged before CAT. CAT rejected the application by
upholding the view taken by the Railways. As the
petitioner is found to be the second wife, the
supplementary circular no. 5 to master circular no.
16 which governs the appointment on compassionate
ground does not entitle the second wife to claim
appointment on compassionate ground. We do not find
any error or illegality in the impugned order.
Therefore, the petition is dismissed. No order as to
costs.
