2. The Petitioner’s nomination has
been rejected to contest the elections
to the Municipal Corporation of
Pimpri-Chinchwad. This is in view of
provisions of section 10(1)(i) of the
Bombay Provincial Municipal Corporation
Act, 1949. The remedy for the
Petitioner is to file an election
petition after the declaration of the
results. Now, the symbols are being
allotted today and the elections are
fixed on 1st February 2007. Petition is
dismissed.
