1.The Petitioner claimsappointment on

compassionate basis. The Petitioner points that on
16.4.2005, the Petitioner was informed that the
appointment on compassionate ground can be granted
only after approval of the staff pattern of the
establishment of the Satara Municipal Council.

2.There is no right to be appointed on
compassionate basis, as held by the Hon’ble Supreme
Court. However, if the Respondent - Municipal Council
is making recruitments, then the Petitioner’s case to
be considered against the quota for compassionate
appointment. The Petitioner to serve a copy of this

order on Respondent Nos.2, 3 and 4 who will proceed to
act, according to law.

3.With the above observations, the Writ
Petition is accordingly disposed of.
