Counsel appearing for the Petitioner places on record a
copy of the letter dated 27th September, 2007 received by him. In view of the said letter, the main relief claimed by the Petitioner in the present Writ Petition has been rendered infructuous. He further contends that the Petitioner was retired on 1st November, 2005, but still his pensionary benefits have not been paid. Obviously they have not been paid because of the pendency of the disciplinary proceedings. Counsel appearing for Respondents 2 to 4 submits

that they would deal with the case of the Petitioner for granting payment of pensionary benefits expeditiously and in any case within eight weeks from today. The Respondents will abide by the statement. In view of the statement made, the Writ Petitions are disposed of.
