No one appears on behalf of the appellant. Counsel for the appellant Mr. V. S. Thiageswarsan has written a letter dated 04.12.2018 to the Law Minister with a copy to the Chairman of this Tribunal complaining against the functioning of the Registry. However, it seems from the letter that he is aware, that today the appeal was listed for hearing, as he has clearly mentioned in the said letter. A notice has also been issued to him on 12^th October, 2018 intimating about today’s hearing. In spite of that no one appears on behalf of the appellant. They have not been appearing consistently for more than a year now.

I therefore do not see any reason why the appeal should be kept pending as they refused to appear in spite of the notice has been sent and the appellant/counsel being aware of the same.

The appeal is therefore dismissed for default in appearance and non-prosecution.
