The learned counsel for the appellant has informed that as regards the first attachment order, the ‘ status quo’ order was passed by the High Court of Madras in writ petition filed by the appellant in W.P. No. 14537 of 2015 and M.P (MD) No. 2/2015.

He states that in the second attachment order, at this stage, the appellant is pressing for stay in relation to two properties. The description of the same are as under:

1000 sq. ft. plot with a house situated at Ayan Velampatii

Village (Doc No. 1681/2010) amounting to Rs. 1,29,000/-

Chevrolet Tavera B3 amounting to Rs. 7,88,000/-

He undertakes on behalf of his client that till the disposal of the appeal, the appellant shall not dispose of or alienate the said moveable or immoveable properties or create any third party rights in any manner directly or indirectly.

In view of the statement made on behalf of the appellant and pending decision on the stay application, the respondent are directed to maintain the ‘ status quo’ in respect of the above mentioned properties till the next date of hearing. Reply to the application be filed within six weeks. Rejoinder four weeks thereafter.
