As per the provisions of Part XIV of Chapter VI of the Finance Act 2017, the Appellate Tribunal for Foreign Exchange (ATFE) has been merged with the Appellate Tribunal under the Smugglers & Foreign Exchange Manipulators (Forfeiture of Properties) Act 1976, w. e. f. 26.05.2017.
The matter is at the stage of hearing of stay application of waiver of pre-deposit amount of penalty. On 10th March, 2016 it was recorded that copy of the same documents alongwith affidavit showing financial hardship of the appellants be produced. No one appears on behalf of the appellants. Registry to issue the notice to the appellant and his Advocate to represent the case. The respondent will also issue communication to
