The Court made the following Order:

Heard Mr. Peeta Raman, learned counsel for the petitioners appearing through online. Also heard Mr. G Venkat Reddy, learned counsel for respondent No.7. Mr. Aravala Rama Rao, learned counsel, appeared on behalf of A.P.S.R.T.C.

The petitioners, who are practicing Advocates filed the present writ petition seeking to declare the action of the respondents in not formulating and implementing a policy for grant of concessional CRDA bus passes to Advocates practicing before the High Court of Andhra Pradesh at Amaravati while extending such facility to Government, Secretariat, CRDA and High Court staff as illegal, arbitrary and violative of Articles 14 and 21 of the Constitution of India, etc. They also seek directions to the respondents to formulate and implement a comprehensive policy or scheme for issuance of concessional or subsidized CRDA bus passes to Advocates practicing before the High Court of Andhra Pradesh.

At the time of considering the matter, on the earlier occasion, the learned counsel for the petitioners brought to the notice of this Court that a representation dated 25.02.2025 was made by the A.P. High Court Advocates’ Association with regard to the concessional bus passes to the advocates practicing in High Court of Andhra Pradesh.

The said representation was not made to the Government. Be that as it may.

When the matter is taken up today, Mr. G Venkat Reddy, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent No.7, placed a copy of the representation dated 06.03.2026 made by the respondent No.7-Association to the respondent Nos.1, 3 and Principal Secretary to Government, Finance Department.

In the light of the said representation, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition, providing that the said respondents shall take necessary action on the same in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, within a period of six (06) weeks, from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
