This Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is filed for the following relief:

“to issue a Writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declare that the petitioner is entitled for appointment to the post of Lecturer in Chemistry under the control of 3^rd respondent based on her selection to the said post by the Selection Committee with all consequential benefits by holding the action of the official respondents in not approving the selection of the petitioner for the post of Lecturer in Chemistry thereby withholding her appointment without any justification or reasonable cause even though her selection is made strictly as per rules and instructions on the subject is as illegal, arbitrary, unjust and violative of Articles 14 and 16 of the Constitution of India and pass”

On 01.09.2017, this Court granted interim suspension of G.O.Rt.No.109, dated 03.07.2017. Thereafter, upon hearing the respective counsel and upon considering the facts and circumstances of the case, in the month of December, 2018, the earlier interim order was modified. Consequently, there has been no interim order in force since December, 2018.

Subsequently, the matter was listed on 12.02.2026. On that day, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner, and the matter was directed to be listed under the caption “For Dismissal.”

Even today, when the matter is called, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. It appears that the petitioner is not evincing any interest in prosecuting the matter.
