The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was entrusted with the execution of the works i.e., “1) Supply and delivery of LED flood lights for maintenance of Tikkanna park, NTR Nagar park and Swatantra park in Nellore Municipal Corporation, vide Agreement No.DBIl/91/25-26, dated 30.4.2025 2) Supply and Delivery of Physics Department Lab Materials for VR Municipal Junior Collage in Nellore Municipal Corporation, vide Agreement No.DB-II/158/24-25, dated 06.02.2025, 3) Supply and delivery of the Bogunvillae (13X13) bag size plants to various places of city Constituency for central divider gaps filling in Nellore Municipal Corporation, vide Agreement No.104/EE/25-26, dated 02.01.2026, 4) Supply, delivery of 200W LED flood lights and Generators on hire basis from 22.02.2025 to 23.02.2025 for Ijtima programme at Chandrasekhapuram (V), Kodavaluru (M) in SPSR Nellore, vide Agreement No.DB- 11/185/24-25, dated 22.02.2025, 5) NMC - Summer Action Plan, Repair to Panel board, fuse links, hushing of Bores and internal wiring at Various Pumping stations in 1,2 and 12 of Nellore Municipal Corporation, vide Agreement No.663/EE/2025-2026 dated 09.03.2026”.

It is submitted that the petitioner had completed the works entrusted to him and that the competent authority of the respondents had also approved the payments due and payable to the petitioner. The respondents have also recorded the progress of the works and the amounts due and payable to the

petitioner in the M-Book. However, the respondents are yet to release the amounts due and payable to the petitioner.

Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department, Sri A.S.C.Bose, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent Corporation, and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Finance and Planning.

During the course of hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent Corporation submits that the works has been completed and that the petitioner has also submitted the final bills and the amounts due and payable to the petitioner have been duly admitted. It is submitted that further funds are awaited and that, soon after the release of the funds, the bills due and payable to the petitioner shall be cleared.

Recording the submissions, this writ petition is disposed of, directing the respondents to verify and release the payments due and payable to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
