The Court made the following ORDER:

The present Writ Petition has been filed questioning the proceedings dated 28.01.2015 issued by 1^st respondent rejecting the claim of the petitioner for grant of freedom fighter pension under Swantantra Sainik Sanman Pension Scheme, 1980.

Today, when the matter came up for hearing, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submitted that, since the Writ Petition was filed in the year 2015 and the

petitioner was aged about 92 years at the time of filing the Writ Petition, he addressed several letters to the petitioner to ascertain as to whether he intended to pursue the matter or not, but there is no response either from the petitioner or from any of his legal heirs. Hence, he prays to close the Writ Petition with liberty to file fresh Writ Petition, if cause survives.

In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the Writ Petition is closed granting liberty to file fresh Writ Petition, if cause survives. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous applications, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
