The Criminal Petition has been filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (for brevity, ‘the Cr.P.C.,’) / Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for brevity, ‘the BNSS’), seeking a direction to the learned Principal Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Addanki, Prakasam District, to receive the deposit of 20% of the compensation amount in C.C.No.545 of 2018, as per the orders of the learned Appellate Court passed in Crl.M.P.No.110 of 2025 in Crl.A.No.89 of 2025, dated 17.07.2025, by extending the time for a further period of two weeks.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor. Perused the record.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has sought time to enable the petitioner to deposit 20% of the compensation amount, as directed by the learned Appellate Court, before the learned Trial Court. It is pertinent to note that the petitioner does not contend that such deposit of 20% of the compensation amount would cause any undue hardship or financial burden upon him.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the Criminal Petition is disposed of permitting the petitioner to deposit 20% of the

compensation amount before the learned Trial Court, as awarded by the learned Appellate Court in Crl.M.P.No.110 of 2025 in Crl.A.No.89 of 2025, dated 17.07.2025, within a period of three (03) weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.

As a sequel, Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, shall stand closed.
