This Criminal Petition under Section 528 of the Bharatiyana Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short ‘BNSS.’), has been filed by the Petitioner / Accused, seeking quashment of the Order dated 23.10.2025 passed in Crl.M.P.No.1623 of 2025 in SC ST SC No.78 of 2023 on the file of the Court of Special Judge for Trial of Cases under SCs & STs (PoA) Act-cum-X Additional District, Rajamahendravaram.

Heard Sri C.Raghu, learned Senior Counsel representing Sri G.Sai Lochan, learned counsel for the Petitioner on record and Sri M.Laskhminarayana, learned Public Prosecutor assisted by Sri K.Sandeep and Ms.K.Priyanka Lakshmi, learned Assistant Public Prosecutors represented the respondent State.

Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor brought to the notice of this Court the order dated 20.02.2026 passed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in Criminal Appeal No.2260 of 2022, wherein it is observed at paragraph 5(ii) that if any further investigation is required, the same shall also be completed by 31.03.2026. In obedience of the said order, the Investigating Officer completed the further investigation and filed supplementary charge sheet on 16.02.2026 vide SR No.644 of 2026.

Learned Senior Counsel would submit that recording the said submission, this criminal petition may be disposed of by giving liberty to the petitioner to raise the grounds in his defence, in case, any petition is filed challenging the supplementary charge sheet.

Considering the submissions made, this Criminal Petition is disposed of. The Petitioner is at liberty to work out his remedy before appropriate forum according to law if so advised, wherein, petitioner can raise the contentions whatever raised herein, in his defence.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
